This music is based on a ragas system. Each raga expresses a feeling or an emotion. It is literally a science of emotions or Rasas through music. Carnatic vocal music is traditionally accompanied with a Violin or like in ancient times, with a Vina and Mridangam, Gatam and Kanjira percussions. Audrey Prem Kumar studied for seven years carnatic vocal, vina, Sanskrit, Tamil and Indian music theory in one of the most famous Indian University of Arts, Kalakshetra, in Chennai. She studied with great masters like Sri Rajaram, grand son and disciple of Mysore Vasudevacharya ans also with sri Varya Mangalam, Sri Pakala Ramdas, Sri Sai shankar, sri Shashidharan.
